10" X 7MM" X 5/8" SUPREME WET GLASS TILE BLADE
A few tricks for cutting glass tile:
1) When cutting glass tiles that are showing a tendency to chip underneath it has been suggested that taping the underneath of the tile where you wish to make your cut (blue painters tape is suggested since you can see through it and know right where the mark is on the glass tile) serves to assist the tile in absorbing any vibrating of the tile blade during cutting (cuts down on the chances of the tile cracking underneath). Taking it a step further, you can place the taped tile on top of a good size piece of Styrofoam and cutting right through the tile in to the Styrofoam will further help to absorb any vibration.
2) Once wet, glass tile on mesh sheets and paper backed glass tile sheets start to experience the glue softening which usually leads to the individual tiles falling off. To avoid this one suggestion is to do not lay the glass tile sheets on the wet saw tray. One suggestion is to have a solid backing under the glass tile when you are pushing it through the wet saw. Another thing that is suggested is to make sure that the glass tile is held down so that it doesn’t move around while cutting it. The trick is to use a scrap ceramic tile or whatever field tile is available to you as a backing to the small glass tile sheets. Use Blue Tape (blue painters tape is suggested since you can see through it and know right where the mark is on the glass tile) to tape the glass tile securely to the backside of the ceramic/scrap tile. Next, make your cut mark on the tape. Then align your cut mark to your blade on the wet tile saw and make the cut. After the cut remove the tape.
